Focus
The German Conference on Bioinformatics (GCB '99) is an international
conference within the tradition of the German Workshop 'Computers
in Bioscience' created more than 10 years ago. GCB '99 focuses on
the bioinformatics support for research in the modern molecular
biosciences. The conference will present the current research in the
theory and application of computational methods to genomic,
sequence, and structural information. The conference language is
English.
Information about previous GCB conferences are available at GCB '97 and
GCB '98.
This year's GCB focuses on the following topics:
- Molecular and Genome Evolution
- Genome Analysis
- Sequence/Structure/Function Relations
- Metabolic and Regulatory Networks
- Gene and Target Discovery
- Protein and Drug Design
- Intelligent Biological Databases
GCB '99 will feature tutorials, invited talks, oral paper presentation,
and a poster exhibition. Admission to the
BIOTECHNICA
trade fair is included.
